Unity Team Lead

Gameteq is a game developer that specializes in creating high-quality mid-core 4X strategy games for both mobile and PC platforms.

For one of our clients, we are looking for a Unity Team Lead to take full ownership of the front-end development of new mobile RPG game.

This senior leadership role will oversee the entire client engineering team across multiple locations in Europe, ensuring the game’s technical foundation is scalable, high-performing, and future-proof.

• Lead and manage the entire client development team, setting technical direction and best practices across multiple locations.

• Architect and maintain a scalable, modular, and high-performance game client.

• Oversee the development of core utility systems, including rendering, networking, asset streaming, performance optimization, and framework components.

• Collaborate with gameplay, UI, and backend teams to ensure seamless system integration.

• Ensure the client-side infrastructure supports live operations, scalability, and cross-platform functionality.

• Drive technical innovation and adopt industry-leading tools and methodologies.

• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a high-performance development culture across a distributed team.

• Work closely with producers and other stakeholders to align technical development with project goals.

Якого професіонала шукаємо?

• 10+ years of experience in game development, with at least 4 years in a lead or senior leadership role.

• Expert-level proficiency in Unity (C#) and experience with large-scale game architectures.

• Strong knowledge of multiplayer systems, asset streaming, memory management, and performance optimization for mobile games.

• Proven experience leading and scaling distributed engineering teams across multiple locations.

• Deep understanding of networking, live operations, and cross-platform development.

• Experience working with backend services, APIs, and multiplayer frameworks.

• Strong debugging, profiling, and optimization skills for mobile platforms.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning abilities.
