The Senior Director Technical PMO to join our Portfolio Management Office. This role is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and governance of complex technical initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible to ensure prioritizing projects based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and risk assessment. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who can drive strategic initiatives, enhance project delivery capabilities with best practices and operational efficiency, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. Reporting to the Vice President, Portfolio Management Office, the Senior Director, Technical PMO will lead a globally dispersed team of program and project professionals. This role serves as a strategic partner to the technology leadership team, with high visibility and responsibility for supporting a diverse range of internal customers across the globe. Key priorities for this role include establishing a comprehensive development framework, implementing career pathing to retain top talent, and building a robust leadership bench to support future growth. What You'll Do
Lead the development and implementation of the PMO strategy, manage the PMO budget, define KPI to measure project health & resource allocation, and oversee project portfolio delivery.
Cultivate strong relationships cross-functionally and with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project status and seamless execution of strategic communication processes.
Drive transformational change, which focuses on refining continuous project management processes and methodologies through efficiencies and supporting new ideas, processes, and outcomes.
Take a proactive and strategic approach to risk management to fit hybrid methodologies. Regularly update the risk management framework and practices to ensure adaptability across all initiatives. Promote a culture of risk awareness and safety, encouraging teams to identify and communicate risks openly.
Drive the standardization of PMO tools, frameworks, templates, and methodologies across PMO organizations, ensuring consistent best practice standards while enhancing hybrid delivery capabilities to drive quality results.
Build and lead a high-performing PMO team, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities to ensure ongoing growth and retention.
What We're Looking For
Masters/MBA preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and PMOs in a complex environment.
Strong comprehension of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
Strong collaborator with a successful track record driving discussions towards conclusions.
Ability to provide excellent methods of data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytical solution-oriented entrepreneurial mindset. Must be team, goal, and results-oriented with a high attention to detail.
PMP, CSM, PgMP, MSP, SAFe, or equivalent advanced project/program management certification, desirable.
Experience in a large technology organization, specifically in the gaming or entertainment technology sector.
Ability to lead sophisticated strategy analysis; experience with development, planning, deployment, and change management; proven systems-thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical decision-making skills.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the gaming industry.
