Building upon the success of our first two years, we’ve begun a transition to developing bigger and more ambitious games, demanding higher standards of quality and visual design. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, growing mobile game studio at a critical moment, where you will be among the very first members of a new Live Ops Art Team who will create exciting, seasonal art assets for our most popular live games.

About the Role

Coming in at the beginning of the process, you will be pivotal in shaping the new Live Ops Art Team and establishing an effective workflow. Responsibilities will include:

• Creating 2D illustrations for seasonal content drops within our live games. Initial examples could include illustrated icons, reward medals and badges, props and other objects, up to entire backgrounds for map-progression screens;

• Concepting and designing these assets, collaborating remotely with the Game Art team to ensure the art style is appropriate and consistent;

• Maintaining a high level of quality, ensuring that your work stands up against other big-name mobile games;

• Updating AppStore and Google Play screenshots (localisations, holidays themes).

And as our workflow develops, your responsibilities may include:

• Working directly in the Unity engine to implement your designs;

• Creating animations and effects in Unity to bring them to life;

• Assisting the Game Art team to create assets for the core game.

The quality and finish of your work will have a huge impact on the success of these seasonal in-game events.

Core Abilities

2D illustration is a critical part of this role and we’re particularly interested in illustrators who have worked on mobile games in the past and understand the process of creating stylized assets that look rich and appealing.
