We're blazing a trail for innovative Indie gaming.

Our mission is to revolutionise the gaming industry by delivering unparalleled entertainment that utilises cutting-edge technologies and immerses players in new and exciting environments and worlds. Our first franchise is a series of fictional role-playing games set in an overarching Metaverse with a non-fictional context, designed to provide both entertainment and thought-provoking content. We pride ourselves on our innovative approach to player engagement, drawing on real-world detail to create a fictional world that feels personal and dynamic.

The business is well backed with a highly experienced founding/managing team.

You will need to be able to commute to Cambridge UK or happy to relocate to the area. There are no remote options for this role at the moment.

На какие задачи (обязанности)?

We are seeking a talented and experienced Unity Developer to join our team at SKC Games Studio, as we embark on an ambitious sci-fi open-world game project. As the Unity Developer, you will be responsible for bringing our game concepts to life by building and maintaining high-quality code.

You'll be doing this:

• Collaborate with game designers, artists and other developers to create game mechanics, levels and systems.

• Create and maintain Unity game components, scripts and plugins that support the game’s development.

• Translate game design requirements into technical design specifications.

• Write clean, efficient, and reliable C# code for game systems and mechanics.

• Optimise code and other game assets for performance and memory usage.

• Work with quality assurance teams to ensure that the game is bug-free and meets quality standards.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in Unity development and game programming.

Какого профессионала ищем?

And you'll need this:

• At least 3 years of professional experience working as a Unity Developer.

• Strong knowledge of Unity 3D and C# development.

• Experience with game mechanics, scripting, and physics is a must.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

• Experience with optimization of game performance and memory usage.

• Experience with version control software such as PlasticSCM/Git Good knowledge of mathematics and algorithms relevant to game development

Desired but non-essential:

• Mastery in C# and Python.

• Technical Animation Skills (Rigging, skinning, scripting).

• Experience with ShotGrid
