Render Programmer

We are 4A Games – a multinational game development studio with offices in Malta and Ukraine. In our games, we focus on creating deep memorable experiences. That’s why they’re highly immersive and atmospheric, featuring captivating stories, realistic graphics, and gameplay you feel in your fingertips. As our motto, we make games that we would love to play ourselves!

The studio was founded in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2005 by a passionate team of game industry veterans with the goal of creating AAA-quality games. In 2014, the studio moved its headquarters, along with over 50 team members and their families, from Ukraine to the island of Malta.

Our projects so far include Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, Metro Redux, Arktika. 1, and, our most recent release, Metro Exodus.

Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

Work with others to expand our next-generation graphics pipeline including advanced lighting and rendering techniques, and special effects.

Experience in identifying bottlenecks and optimizing existing / future rendering code.

Self-driven to learn new rendering techniques and implement them.

Strong communication skills and proficiency in working with Technical Artists to develop and iterate features/tools.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

• 3+ years of professional experience.

• Proficient C++ Knowledge.

• Thorough knowledge and proficient application of 3D math, rendering algorithms, and data structures.

• Performance-minded development and optimization skills.

• Self-drive to learn new rendering techniques and implement them.

• Mathematical Analysis skills.

• Conceptual fluency with physically-based rendering techniques.

• Strong communication and proficiency working with technical artists to develop and iterate on features/tools.

Preferences:

• Knowledge of a broad range of graphics APIs and shader languages including DirectX and OpenGL/GLSL.

• Experience developing for 9th generation console hardware.
