Lead Programmer

Values Value, a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for an experienced Lead Programmer for our client, a growing and independent game developer with studios in UK, Poland and Spain. The company focuses on emerging technologies and greenfield projects, supported by a dynamic and creative team who can explore new ground in this ever-changing landscape. The studios work with some of the biggest names in the games industry, such as Blizzard, Amazon, Microsoft and Mythical Games. The team is also working on their own IP.

As a Lead Programmer in Poland studio, you will lead and motivate a small team of programmers and take responsibility for specific areas of the game design and work closely with all disciplines to deliver on the overall game vision.

• You will understand the customer’s needs and ensure the programming team contributes to player satisfaction and enjoyment, making our games more fun to play.

• You will recruit and lead a small team of Programmers, creating a positive environment which focuses on open feedback, mentoring and the career development of your team.

• You can prioritize the daily workflows to ensure a balanced approach to workload and production management on behalf of the Programmer team.

• You will lead by example and use your knowledge to support the development and performance of the team.

• You will be working with a highly experienced team in all areas of the game, both client and server.

• You will fully own complex systems through design and development, working closely with the Programmers and other disciplines to realize their visions.

• You will help to drive to company’s creative planning sessions, scrums, and retrospectives.

• You will play an active role in the mentoring and development of junior staff.

• Lead Programmer having 4 to 7 programmers with them.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

• Strong Generalists, so Unity/ Unreal 5 and also bespoke engines with C++.

• 10+ years of industry experience.

• 5+ years C++ or C# experience.

• Experience in leading a small team.

• Experience with engines such as Unity, Lumberyard or Unreal.

Will be a plus:

• Experience with multiplayer games.

• Experience with modern console development.

• May have released AAA titles.
