Senior Technical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO).  In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex projects while aligning them with the Aristocrat Labs (ALABs) strategic objectives. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive synergy, collaboration, and productivity. Exceptional strategic thinking, technical expertise, and project management skills will be instrumental in achieving successful project outcomes.

Reporting to the PMO leadership, the Senior Technical Project Manager will be embedded in our technology teams, tasked with building and maintaining industry-leading gaming technology.  You will participate in our exciting journey as we continue to build our teams and to optimize our tools and processes for a new centralized, cross-business unit, gaming technology development function.

Responsibilities

As Senior Technical Project Manager, you will lead high-impact strategic technical initiatives while ensuring operational excellence through a balance of strategic leadership and tactical execution. Key responsibilities include:

• Drive the development of technical initiatives that strengthen Aristocrat's competitive advantage in the gaming industry.

• Collaborate directly with senior leadership to establish governance frameworks, secure critical resources, and maintain strategic alignment throughout the project execution lifecycle.

• Drive the strategic project intake process, ensuring all initiatives align with leadership priorities and organizational objectives.

• Coordinate complex workstreams across engineering, design, compliance, marketing, and business units to deliver cohesive, integrated technical solutions.

• Lead technical projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting approach based on project requirements and organizational context.

• Develop comprehensive project plans with precise scope definition, efficient resource allocation, realistic timelines, and well-controlled budget management.

• Create and implement effective project communication plans, compelling project charters, and comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies.

• Develop and execute change management approaches that drive adoption and minimize disruption across the organization.

• Deliver concise, impactful status reports highlighting progress against key milestones, emerging risks, and critical issues requiring attention.

• Systematically identify, assess, and prioritize project risks before they impact deliverables or timelines.

• Develop robust risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies to maintain project momentum despite challenges.

• Address emerging issues decisively, with appropriate escalation paths to senior leadership when necessary.

• Contribute to the advancement of project management practices across the organization through innovation and knowledge sharing.

• Guide junior team members in developing technical skills, project management expertise, and leadership capabilities.

• Foster a high-performance culture that celebrates achievement and drives continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in the Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 6+ years of relevant experience as a Technical Project Manager, leading and delivering strategic technical projects within a technology-driven organization.

• Demonstrated strategic mindset, with a track record of aligning projects with business objectives and delivering tangible results.

• Firm grasp on the product technology and software development process and pitfalls throughout planning, execution, and delivery.

• Ability to innovate in a dynamic environment with multiple cross-functional business units.

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall project management practices.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

• Experience in reporting project status, risks, issues, and resource utilization to stakeholders and leadership.

• Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams and foster a culture of excellence.

• Proficiency in project management software, collaboration tools, and analytics platforms.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on resolving issues and delivering high-quality results within project constraints.
