Art Director

As the Art Director leading a team of 2D artists and animators in the slot machine industry, you will be responsible for ensuring that the visual design of the game supports the game mechanics, enhances the player experience, and meets quality standards. You must be able to effectively manage your team, providing clear and concise art direction while ensuring that team members are meeting deadlines and delivering quality work. Additionally, you must stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the industry and communicate regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure that the visual design aligns with the overall vision and objectives of the project.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Develop and implement creative concepts and visual strategies for slot games. Collaborate with game producers to ensure that the visual design aligns with the game mechanics and enhances the overall player experience.

• Provide clear and concise art direction to the 2D artists and animators on the Content team. 

• Lead and manage the 2D artists and animators, providing guidance and feedback throughout the design process. Ensure that team members are meeting deadlines and delivering quality work.

• Create storyboards and art direction guidelines for slot games. Collaborate with game producers to develop the game's narrative and ensure that it is effectively conveyed through the visual design.

• Oversee the production of 2D assets and animations, ensuring that they are visually appealing, optimized for performance, and meet quality standards.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the gaming and design industries and incorporate them into projects when appropriate.

• Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, including game developers, game producers, and other artists, to ensure that the visual design aligns with the overall vision and objectives of the project.

• Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and is visually appealing to the target audience.

• Deliver promotional assets for the marketing.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 7+ years as a professional artist or equivalent experience.

• A bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field. 

• Have a passion for the industry and an understanding of market trends and styles.

• Deep knowledge or experience in the iGaming/Gaming industry (ideal, not mandatory)

• Excellent creative and visual skills, as well as strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as knowledge of animation software such as Adobe After Effects or Spine.

• A deep understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout. 

• Work with outsource studios

• Knowledge of slot machine industry trends and regulations.

• A strong portfolio of work that showcases art and animation skills.

• Advanced level of English.
